I've held 5 internships & 5 part time jobs in college, everything from a campus tour guide, to a PR intern in Chicago, to a digital intern in London.
At Barkley in the summer of 2016, my team worked to create a social strategy for TAKE5, a recently rebranded Hershey candy bar. Working with art directors and designers, I co-wrote the copy for 3 months of Instagram and Tumblr posts. The full strategy & copy can be found here.
In 2017 I branded International Empowerment Project, a nonprofit that delivers aid to orphanages in Juarez, Mexico. The project included logo, brand colors, brochure and magazine.
In Spring 2017 I worked on a successful campaign to promote a proposed student fee to the University of Missouri student body. We named the campaign "Enhance Mizzou", and because the fee would give money to many different areas of campus, I designed the logo in a mosaic pattern to symbolize the different parts of campus represented in one fee. Through Twitter and Facebook campaigns we garnered thousands of impressions in 6 weeks to eventually break the school record for voter turnout and successfully pass the fee.
Throughout my many advertising classes in college, I designed and wrote ads to captivate consumers through eye-catching art and creative copywriting. These are a few of my favorites from throughout the years.
My semester abroad spurred my love for photography. At the end of my senior year, I started a freelance photography business, taking graduation photos for seniors at Mizzou.
There's a common phenomenon with writers and social media managers: they can see in their minds what they want a post to look like, but they can't put it into words. Whether it's an illustration, responsive website, funny Photoshop or full-length video, I have the experience and skills in the Adobe Creative Suite to not only discuss the project with an art director or designer, but to step in and help them get the job done.
